The Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area is a protected natural area located in Saint-Joachim, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. It is an observation stop for visitors to the Quebec City region, especially during goose migrations. The site includes about 20 km of trails and an interpretation centre.

22 km wild hike between cliffs, rivers and ancient forests.
Large protected territory in Saint-Joachim: nature trails, wildlife observation and views of the river. Very close to Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges.
A network of trails at the gates of Charlevoix: snowshoeing in winter and hiking the rest of the year, with lookouts on the river.
Hiking and beautiful winter outing with crampons/snowshoes to the Jean-Larose Falls, at the foot of Mont-Sainte-Anne, with stairs and viewpoints.
